Man, I tell ya what,....
Its about time something good is happening in that area. I'm about as close to there as i am to scales lake.
Owensboro is a great community, I'm happy things are finally moving forward.
Thanks for the updates.

Forge 5 was a bike i looked at as an entry level bike. That one or the specialized hard rock were under $400. I'm 42 and I ride a hard tail which is fine around here with the exception of scales lake. But I don't do much jumping. Little stuff maybe I'm like the Brett Favre of mtb. Well...... Brett Favre last year anyway.

UGH!!! Totally ate the earth out here. I swear its the hardest I have ever hit the ground in 10 yrs!! I love the cute little 4" high tree stumps hidden by the leaves. It's way more fun when you can't see it coming . ;D

Had a great time at Brown county, weather was great for camping and riding. What a great set of trails. Rode out from the campgrounds to the north gate parking area and back. The ride back was a little more work than coming down. The climb back up to Hesitation point goes on 4ever. Only things I didnt care for was the leaves on the trail, had to be a bit more cautious at times. Second would be pulling of to the side to let groups of riders go by. If i did it once I did it 60 times. Over all it was a great weekend of riding. cant wait to get back next year. Has a nice ride here today. by all means, these are not standard bike trails. Most run on fall lines and are incredibly eroded. The positive is that it has created some incredibly technical down hill sections. Some of the roots are crazy and it makes for an intersting ride. No endless riding unless you stay on the lake side. Those trails are pretty short but fast. They have contructed a lot of newly paved greenway for the USI/ Burdette park trail and that is a very nice improvement to the area.

Trails are in good shape, I trimmed back all the vines and thorns on the main loop. Far as I could get before dark. huge amount of people there today and also a big group of college guys running cross country. I heard a few of them scream in agony at times when they hit a thorn branch
