it's true. No offense to EBC members but over all I'm not impressed. And frustrated. and not impressed.
So yeah- lets not depend on EBC for anything, such as we have already done I suppose.

doom gloom doom gloom. I know. But I have it good because i get to talk with many of these people, and occasionally go pick them up.
I see people at their best. I see them at their worst. I try to give them an encouraging word and maybe I might have helped them in some small mostly insignifigant way.
OK Probably not.
But ultimately, thank god Al Gore invented the internet because now we can at least surf the web for more valid and pertinent news sources like Fox News, Al Jazeera, and E! Online
THANK YOU AL GORE!

Well- I guess it's kind of dependent on who's riding it and what they are going to do with it you know? I'm not familiar with any of the parts but if I were to get on one of those machines for 5 minutes they would probably explode. From experience, I've blown SRAM x4, X5, bent truvativ isoflow chainrings, sheared high end/entry level cogs..... If one is going to be gentle suzan on a greenway, all would work great...... About the forks, who knows if the seals would break or leak- I'm shocked that my stock RST Gilla has lasted as long as it has, as it is not exactly designed for what I put it through. -the end.

Y Off road went well... I met up with Kat and Marshall, and we took off to cover a portion of the trail, and wound up floating around making sure no one ate it too bad.
I think we all yanked sticks out of drive trains at some point. I got flack from some lady who's knee deep in the rumor mill.
I was kind of impressed with the fixing of a few of the mud bogs. Ok they fixed 1 mud bog. Good enough for me.
In all it was fun, I'm quite tired, I met good people, ate a bananna, and rode some trail.

Yeah rider cut too hard into a corner in boone dock Posey county and had a head on impact.
I emailed the EBC a few weeks ago, 3 times over the last month, to enquire about them expanding to include and advocate for other 2 wheel contraptions but there has been no return reply .

Indeed- I was tinking of a every so often camp out at Harmonie or other ride related place, and brown would certainly fit the bill...

Are there addidtional long term ideas/goals? Also keep in mind a club can also set itself up for itigation, by default.....
Are we talking about memberships, events, local lobby for facilities, and host events? If not, then I think this site will suffice as a central board for all things local.
I'm thinking of the EBC's sponsored Great Pumpkin Metric where a rider was killed in 2007. A family member has filed civil suit against the EBC and as far as I know is still ongoing. Of course EBC does have insurance (I believe through McKay insurance) but I don't know the extent of headache for the EBC.
Just food for thought.
