New bike, just picked her up today. Cannondale Flash 1 29er. Now it's going to rain for the next 2 months!

Rode all the trails tonight. Trails were perfect, only 3 or 4 soft spots total. Too bad it's supposed to rain the next few days. There were a lot of leaves covering the new section probably about a 1/4-1/2 mile in. I actually lost the trail twice tonight.
The new cut trail looks great Tim! Thats the biggest root I have ever seen. I'm not sure exactly what turn you are talking about but everything looked good to me. The only part I want to work on is the part before the trails end sign where the trail slopes down then back up around the topside of the tree. At the bottom of this turn you are carrying speed from both directions and the trail needs to be built up a little more, maybe build a small berm. I will get to it next work day.

Sweet! From the amount of rain I got at my house I figured they would be muddy all week. I may try to get a night ride in this week. This weeks forecast looks pretty dry as well, just a chance of rain on thursday. Hopefully they will be good for the weekend.

I won't be able to make the work day this Saturday....wish I could. I'm going skiing in Utah this weekend which will be a first for me. Figures the weekend I plan to go out of town turns into the nicest weekend we've had in months! Hopefully we can get back to a normal schedule again with the work days now that the weather is starting to cooperate. I'm ready to cut some more new trail at Harmonie!

I want to encourage everyone to be a part of this. Not only is this a great way to meet new people interested in mountain biking and get more group rides together, but I think this will be the best way to recruit new trail builders in the area. I have met so many other riders who say they would love to help build trails but don't know how to get started or who to contact. This will really help to bring all the mountain bikers from the area together. This group was big back in the day. I think there were well over 100 members back then and I think we would have no problem getting that many or more now.

5 of us rode Harmonie tonight. Sycamore was too muddy to ride but Walnut was surprisingly in good shape so we just did a couple out and backs.

I rode it a few times at night this year. From what Ive heard they don't like people riding there at night. When I rode there at night it was in the fall and the park was still open late. Now that it's winter season I think they close the front gate at like 4:30. Ive parked at the elementry school a couple blocks west of the park and rode in from there before. You can hop on that gravel trail by those condos and ride in from there. You can also park at the backside of the park next to that small cemetary on Bawel rd.

Thats surprising, all the trails around here were way too muddy to ride today. Wish I would have known that I would have made the drive to FL. Was going to go skiing at Paoli but it was a little too warm for that.
