I was out there yesterday and everything was perfect. I moved a dead log that had fallen around Mile 3 but everything else was clear.

That's pretty awesome.

Trails are fast, dry, and dusty. One new tree is down on the backside near the 4 way intersection when you take a left right before the banked left hand corner. Its low enough to hop over though. That tree almost got me.

Downed trees have all been removed save two, which can easily be ridden over. Trails took a bit of a beating in the last round of storms and some sections are starting to get eroded pretty badly. All in all, trails are in pretty good shape.

I'd definitely like to get some first-hand input from Paul on these. I like the log obstacles, but occasionally they can be a pain if they break flow or kill your momentum on climbs. Maybe we could pile some dirt up on half of a log to make it easier to ride over, then leave part of it exposed as an optional line. I'm not sure if something like that would work or not.

I rode down "The Hill" last night and turned around at the pond (it was getting dark). That hill is brutal.

I wasn't able to make it either. Sorry guys. Tim, we'll have to have a make-up day.

I meant "new" as in anything built in the last year or two.

I'll be there. Is Ron planning on bringing that griddle again? If so I'll bring some eggs.

That trail makes me glad I have 6" of travel, front and rear. ;D

Trails are in great shape. Ran into Ron and another guy whose name I didn't get. They cut down a very large and dangerous overhanging tree on one of the fast downhill sections. Nice work guys.

No gnats. Just watch out for the new jumps, as most of them are in the natural line of the trail.

I couldn't help but notice that the gnats are back with a vengeance. Does anyone have an effective deterrent for these things? I've heard vanilla behind the ears is supposed to work.

The Sycamore loop is pretty much perfect right now. Every time I go out there it gets better and better.
