Trail Description:
Grapevine Lake A&B trail has had a recent face lift and new life has began. There are a few North Shore style jumps on the first two miles (optional)but after that nothing that most can not do. Very fast with nice lake side views. There are two very short and very steep climbs one with a hairy 90 degree left turn. Some nice bridges have recently been added but could use a couple more in the run offs. The main Gate is closed Nov 1-April 1 but there is parking available in a church parking lot across the street, except on Sun Mornings.
How to get there:
Located on the south side of Madisonville in the Grapevine area. You can get there from the parkway via Earlington Exit then turn right or from main st to left on McLeod LN to four way stop, Woods and gate will be on your left. Church is just .1 of a mile on the right. From the gate entrance you will see trail B on your left then trail A just a tad futher on your right. Start trail A and follow trail and markers around to the boat ramp (at the end of gravel road). When you reach the boat ramp turn left up the hill and on your right begins trail B it will loop around and finish back at the gate. One note on trail B, you will cross a gravel road and at one point you must take the road to the right and re-enter the trail to the left at a cable gate near a main road. There are a few north shore style jumps on trail A and a few short steep climbs but other than that it's fast and fun. With recent trail work and moderate riding the trail is in very good condition, with some nice lake side views. More trail is being opened in coming months..
