(Tania had a great write up on this, so I stole her post from the HMBA site)
Here are the details!
French Lick Resort would like to officially open their brand new 6-mile mountain bike trail on Saturday, October 3rd. at 1 p.m.
The Buffalo Trace trail was built by resort employees under the direction of Alex Stewart and Spectrum Trail Design . This is the same person/company who designed many of the trails at Brown County State Park. From what we've heard so far these trails will rival Brown County for the Indiana mountain bike "gem". Many of you have ridden Limekiln Trail at Brown County State Park. This is the trail from Hoosier's Nest to the campground that seems to magically flow downhill from either direction. Now imagine going 2.5 miles with more elevation than Hesitation Point, but with the fun and flow of Limekiln Trail! That is what you will find at French Lick Resort.
To help entice you, French Lick resort is offering a special discount price for Saturday, October 3rd. The following discount code gets you a room at the resort for only $189* a night! Mention Code: Biker
* Based on double occupancy and availability. Credit card required at time of booking. Price does not include resort taxes. Limit one discount per package offer and cannot be combined with other coupons, discounts or offers. Reservations for Hotel services must be arranged with our Reservations Representatives by calling 888.936.9360 prior to your resort visit.
The key to making the most of the French Lick experience is to indulge in the whole experience. Remember, this is a resort so be sure to take advantage of the fabulous restaurants, the relaxing spas, and beautiful scenery. Add the mountain biking to all of that and you have one fantastic weekend! The trails are free and open to the public for 2009, but be sure to check in at the Valley Links Golf and Learning Center to sign the waiver.
