Totally bizarre, I know, but one of my hounds has quite a penchant for finding trails. So far he's uncovered about 5 disused trails at Scales and one at Angel Mounds- I also do Search and Rescue/tracking work with another dog, so I'm testing him in every way I know how and he's rock solid in his indications. He's also a life saver at night, and has gotten me miles back to the car after night falls.
So if anyone's looking to find a 'lost trail', just let me know, he's awesome!! We're also going to use him as a pack horse when we go clean up trails- he wears packs and can haul food/tools/etc. Good boy Tucker!
