hola. SMMC Lifeflight was jaw jacking about bikes and mentioned a bike shop in Illinois.... They got back with me on the matter and here's the scoop.. Pacific cycles has a warehouse, distribution ctr, and showroom that is quite big... Located in Olney IL. www.pacific-cycle.com/index.phpPacific cycles owns Mongoose, schwinn and others and does the big walmart, target other dept stores with low end cycles... However Mongoose has some interesting high end cycles, MTB XC, Freeride,DH, Jumpers, BMX, Roadies... Rumor has it form the Lifeflight peeps that they have older models of the high end stuff mega marked down... Has anyone been there? I hope to make a visit before too long to scope it out and will report back. -Kyle

They also have GT too. I have been there once. I think it is open every Saturday and you never know what you will find. There can be some real good deals found there.
I picked up a GT road bike a while back for $700 and it was decked out in ultegra components and had a carbon fork. It would have been a real nice bike if I didn't want the parts for mine :-)
Actually it is still rolling just fine with my old stuff swapped out.
There is a lot of bike stuff going on in Olney.

Back in the fall I BROKE the frame on my GT Peace 29r Multi. It's replacement came from Olney, which surprised me.

It is basically a warehouse. It is awesome to walk in there and see stacks and stacks of bikes.
