DHP presented the following honor: Enrichment Award
Breckley Tipton wasted little time in making an impact on the community after he and his wife, Leigh Ann, relocated to Henderson and he opened Breck's Bicycle Shop at 232 N. Main St.
"In a short time, he rolled up his sleeves to make the community a better place through exercise," presenter Dr. Kurt Wilson said.
The health-conscious Tipton last spring launched the weekly Monday evening Community Bike Ride, "an event for all levels" from kids to seniors starting at Central Park, Wilson said.
Riders of all types were welcome, and pickups were provided for those who developed mechanical or other problems. The very first ride, in early March, attracted more than 50 riders, and the event continued each week for months until cold weather returned.
"My passion, other than my family, is cycling," Tipton said in accepting the award.

I spoke with Breck a few weeks ago and these rides should be starting back up on March 15th.
