Man, so many caravans of naked swimsuit models come through here I'm actually getting burned out. We live large up here in Melody Hills. (not really)

Some photos from todays trail work / build. I would have taken more but I spent most of my time cleaning up the walnut trail. If anyone sees the group photo posted anywhere, send me a copy. My camera has gone to sony heaven. R.I.P

Did anyone get to ride the new section? I had to leave a little after noon so I wasn't able to ride any. I hope to be back this coming weekend. BTW I think it was a great trail work day. Now that we finally started hopefully it will motivate more people to help with the trail building.

I'm already itching to get back out there. Once we get up the hill, we should be able to build the flat section pretty quickly. Did anyone stay and ride what we built? I'd like to know if it feels wide enough, if the outslope feels right, etc. It would be good to have a fix-it list. Also, does anyone know how we can go about getting wood to build a bridge over the creek? Will it be up to us to purchase the lumber, or will the park chip in?

Im also ready to get back out there and build some more. I was thinking we should set up a weekly or biweekly trail build/ride day so we can get this thing done! Even if we don't have the turnout that we had this weekend, with just a few people working on it once a week it won't take long.
As for the trail that was cut over the weekend, I'm sure there are some sections that are going to require some fine tuning after they are ridden.

Rode the new section with Ron's family after we got done yesterday. The 2 ditch sections we built need some fine tuning. Ron said the park has lumber for the creek if we want to build a bridge. (need to talk to Ron and Tim on that one) just let me know when everyone wants another work day. Im up for it. I had a great time working on the trails.

I think it's pretty cool that a month ago we were wondering what could be done and now we are geared up to go back and continue the effort. I started this forum with the soul purpose to bring the people of the area together as a mountain bike community. I was hoping that the new trails at Harmonie would be the catalyst for such group. So........ enough of that sappy stuff, you guys / gals kicked ass!

NIce work guys! Rode the walnut extention last night. Def. think trail is wide enough. Maybe work on the ditchs and hair pin turns. Seems maybe some more bench cutting is in order is some areas. Anybody down for a work day Sun. June 20th?
