There is a trail work session at O'Bannon woods, this Saturday (Jan 8th) at 10:00AM. Meet at the swimming pool.
We will be working on the return side of the Fire Tower trail. This trail will eventually be a loop.
O'Bannon Woods could be the "go to" destination for experienced mountain bikers in the Midwest. It's got terrain that no other location in Indiana can match for experienced riders.
We have been working hard to come up with a master plan that will take advantage of the park and the surrounding State Forest. We also have an RTP grant in line to help build trails later in the year.
HMBA has funds available to hire pro trail builders to help expedite trail construction, but we need volunteers to really be effective in cranking out the trails.
If you live in Southern Indiana, please put trail building at O'Bannon on your 2011 "to do" list.
