Flyers, advertising

What do you think about flyers ?

I can create flyers for the forum at work but where could I put them ?

I thought about the local bike shops and the library has a community board.

I posted on the KYMTB site. Doesn't seem very active but I got my invite out. I'll work on it and post it so everyone can see it. proof read it I guess.

I even thought about making bookmarks to put in all the MTB books at the library. ;D


Any thoughts ?

I think flyers are a great idea. We can also try to get some out at all the local trails, like the kiosk at harmonie. Not sure where we could put them at scales. I know they used to have a sign at the front parking lot for mtbikers.

Is the koisk an open or closed type deal.
i think tomorrow I'm gonna copy a bunch at work and go by
the local shops and see if I can leave some there.

I need some ideas on where to put them.

I wish the local shops here were more involved with the community
than they are. I would never survive as a bike shop.

I would enjoy helping the customer.
I wouldn't scam them.
I would have the best reasonable prices
I would be involved in the events i provide bikes for.

yep, I'd be having a big going out of biz sale
in less than a year.

Ok so now I'm out and about posting to a few bike forums.
Breaking all their golden rules in the process.

Got the ok from Top Spot and Gilles to put flyers in their store front.
They were both very quick and pleasant in their response.

That was a nice change.

I'm 3-4 on email correspondence, that's a new record for me.

I have it covered though, I think the owner of top spot is going to print them out and Gilles is right around the corner. sorta

.....and I don't have them printed just yet either. (shame) ;D
