Dear Rain,
I understand you are necessary, but please stay within a reasonable sprinkle so that the trails are perfectly tacky at 6am.....let's not be a dick about it.

The gnats haven't been a problem...yet. However, the mosquitos come out to eat at about 6:00 give or take, but luckily they're only the size of a small dog. Just be sure to pack your bug spray. The tracks are fast and fun. Kudos to those who designed and built them.

The trails were perfect today. Dry enough to roll fast but moist enough to have tons of grip. All the mudholes are dried up.

Yeah I guess you can't get too greedy with the mid-spring riding gods.

Rode New Harmony today and the trails were in great shape... I'm sure the rain we just had put a dampner on that,
Just wanted to post that there are a couple of large trees that have newly fallen on the intermediate trail... not possible to get around. It is located all the way back before the last switchback to the fire road.
Who is the right person to contact or set up a trail maintenance day to get things back into place? Any information would be appreciated.

Main loop was real soggy today, some drains need to be recut. Walnut connector is impassable due to huge tree. Still a really nice turnout, about 20 people out riding, but didn't do alot of extra riding due to it just being sloppy.
The faster we can figure out who to contact to get permission to work, the better off it will be for everyone.

I'd classify it as "mildly moist". ;D

How many are needed for a chainsaw cert. class? I live in Mt. Vernon and I'll be willing to take whatever class it takes to move that big ol' tree. I do work M-F 9-5 (ish), but call anytime. 760.3616 Let me know what's shakin'. I wanna help!
