Yeah, I'd like to attend this also. it helps to know proper cutting. I cleared a big tree at Wesselman park and forgot to wedge my cut and the entire trunk just rolled and pinched my blade in between the two cuts. such a dumb ass. It was already a long day when that happened.

I have a good amount of experience cutting up trees that are on the ground, but not so much with felling trees. I'd be interested in the class....chainsaws are awesome. ;D

Ok folks thanks for the replies... If you've never picked up a rhino and cut trail don't worry about it... you just have to get out there and slug out a cut and imagine how it's going to feel under your bike... while considering the IMBA rules.
Has everyone seen the IMBA trailbuilding video? I've got a copy and we can meet up and watch it, or you can order one... Look left at the Maps/Info for the FREE Trailbuilding DVD.
Chainsaw class- I'll call Chastity early this week and see what kind of potential there is for a weekend class. Chainsaws are not rocket science, nor is the class... I cut cars apart to get people out of them and also cut apart burning houses, however it does not exempt me from taking the class also...
End of May through Mid September is a rockin' time for Harmonie...so there might be hang ups in availability for such a class but Harmonie wants the trail to be kept clear and I bet that they will what they can to get us all situated.

I also recommend anyone who is considering working on the trails to watch the IMBA trailbuilding video. It has a ton of great information and is actually pretty interesting. Best part is that its free, just order it online and it will be at your house in a couple days.

The Boonville Bike Club is planning to ride Harmonie this coming Saturday, 11/12. We will be there around 10:30 and will ride for until about 3pm. If anyone wants to come out and ride with a bunch of rowdy kids, this is your chance!
