Trails still good - weather really HOT!!! The Walnut extension can be ridden past the "HILL" by the pond although it isn't super clean past the pond. I'll work on that once it cools off a little.

Rain missed HSP. Trails still good. Weather a little better - rode early and not too bad. Rode the Walnut extension with Dan Cates to the end - pretty good. I think the section we did last December will become known as "The Hill". Walked out the rest of the marked trail - some chainsawing required, but it generally is easy with only one serious bench cut area required to move a lot of dirt.

I rode down "The Hill" last night and turned around at the pond (it was getting dark). That hill is brutal.

Had some rain in Mt. Vernon and radar indicated quick moving storms moved through HSP. Probably will be okay to ride by tomorrow afternoon.

I was out there this evening. Trails are drying off nicely after the rain, some soggy spots but should be good by tomorrow afternoon if no more rain.

Just rode the trails. Sycamore Loop has a very few soft spots but is easily rideable now. Had to cut/move some deadfall. The Walnut Trail to the picnic tables is in excellent shape. After that, the trail turns softer on the newer section, but it is still okay to ride to the pond. The uphill after that is a little too soft to ride today but should be good by tomorrow.

Storms blew through the park this evening. Figure the trails are very wet. I'll check them out tomorrow.

Yep very wet. Was up there last night wanted to check out drainage in a couple of spots in the new extention after the rain. All around good but i did slip and fall and made a nice rut that i will have to go back and fix when it dries up a bit.

Just left the park at 1:30 pm - it was raining. Trails are too wet. Walked the Sycamore Loop and removed fallen debris and pruned back some trees. Definitely a red light until tomorrow.

Rained in the park this morning but the trails were okay to ride as of 4 pm. Some soft spots. The bad news is thunderstorms are across the river and moving toward the park now (~ 5 pm). More thunderstorms expected this evening. Personally suspect the trails will be too wet to ride after these storms move through. Wouldn't be much fun riding in the thunderstorms this evening anyway. I'll report tomorrow.

Trails are tacky with a few soft spots. Yellow now. Should be green by late afternoon.
