Was one of them the big laid-down stump toward the beginning of the trail? I always feel like I'm going to clip it, then run wide and lose momentum. I feel like that has to be one of them. Also, I know on the other trail, it gets REALLY narrow at one point near the end of it if you travel in the normal direction. It really freaked out my wife, who is a beginner, at that section.

What's the normal direction? Is it where the trail is on a ledge and your peripheral vision can't see anything on one side? That area psyched me out when I first started riding it. Now I don't even notice it.
Nathan, that wasn't one of the places I cut back but I'll look at it. Is it right when you start before you get to the big tree we had to cut through or just after that tree on a right curve?

Normal direction as in counter-clockwise. You start at the actual sign. If you go the opposite direction its before the section where there are about 4 trees cut in half and the HMBA is cut into one of the stumps.
I might be going out tonight so I'll snap a pic of it if I do go.

Yeah, that's the place I was thinking of.

The trails are dry and dusty. The dust is so thick in some spots, its actually slick. Trimmed back some tall grass near the beginning of the Sycamore loop. There are a couple of spots left to trim.

There were scattered storms in the area last night. The trails may be too wet to ride. Can't make it to the park today to check it out. Need report from the ground if anyone goes to Harmonie.

How did the trails hold up to the slow rain last night? Planning on getting out there in the morning to ride if they are open.

A serious rainstorm hit the park around 8 pm. The trail is too wet to ride. They are closed.

Both trails are very wet and shouldn't be ridden on today or tomorrow morning. I'm hoping the sun comes out a dries they enough for the night ride tomorrow night at 8 pm. Look for an update tomorrow afternoon.

The trails are in great shape. The new section is loose and needs wheels on it. It is still fun to ride. Enjoy it while you can.

After the wind came the rain. It started at 5:30 pm yesterday and ended about 5:30 am today. Suspect the trails will be closed the rest of this week. Deer hunting today may cause serious damage to the trails now that they're wet. Asked HSP to notify the hunters as they come in the gate to stay off the trails, but there were too many blinds next to the trails to realistically think this will help. I'll check it out tomorrow.

Walnut appears to be in good shape. The new section held up very well to the rain. Walked from the trailhead to the picnic tables at Walnut removing debris. Mostly small stuff down on the trail. Sycamore is sloppy in spots and probably has some debris down. There were hunter footprints on the flat section next to the parking lot, but not nearly as bad as I expected. Please notify me if there are any big trees down that need removal. I hope to ride the trail tomorrow morning. The "freeze/thaw" rule will be in effect the next few days.
