I have yet to ride this trail and was just curious how it is handling wet conditions. I know it's still fairly new, just wondered how the groove is coming in.
From what I have seen they handle the water well. I have been out there a few times just a day or two after a heavy rain and the trails were great, other than just a few soft spots. These trails were built properly and should be dry and rideable before other local trails after a lot of rain. They are really shaping up nicely. They are faster and smoother everytime I ride them. I will definetley try to make it out there sometime this weekend as long as we dont get a lot of rain.

please use caution post rain events.... There is already signifigant damage in a couple of spots. If possible give the trail 2 days to dry.... The issue is the canopy is not allowing the sun and air flow to correct problem areas.
I plan on getting the Air Force to come out and napalm the entire trail to assist in trail drying.
Went out to harmonie this morning. When I got there I realized I forgot my shoes. All I had were my sandals that I wore there. Anyway it wasnt that big of a deal because the loop was really a little too wet to ride anyway. I did ride the walnut trail which was in pretty good shape. It wasnt easy riding in clipless pedals with sandals but I managed. I walked the beginner loop and cleared out some branches and debris that had fallen in the trail. Surprisingly there were no down trees in the trail. I figured there would be since I saw a few down driving through the park. There were a few others out riding. I would wait until sunday to ride if you are planning on riding here this weekend. The loop had several soft spots that are going to need at least a day to dry out. The walnut connector was actually in good shape.

Trails are in great shape still. We got there around 10 and there were still a few squishy spots but it wasn't bad at all. By tomorrow it will probably be totally dry.
Rained hard non stop from 7am to 4pm saturday afternoon and topped it off with a hard rain early sun morn. Ground was really saturated and low spots were holding water.
Attempted to touch up intermediate trail yesterday. At the start of the Intermediate, 100-200 yeards in there is quite a bit of debris and a few fallen trees. Also!!! yellow jacket nest very near the trail at one of the large fallen trees in this area (tree is cleared of the trail) BEWARE!!!
After the 1st bridge to the end of the trail attempted to de rim. 2 or 3 spots have the potential for washout, as the trail crosses a few shed lines.
Trail is lumpy. more so than i expected.
At any rate, the trail is shedding water quite well, and is rideable after lightly moderate rainfall 12-16 hrs afterwards.
Rode harmonie Sunday afternoon. Overall the trails were in pretty good shape. The loop had some muddy spots but it was definetly rideable. The out and back was in perfect shape with one massive tree down at the beginning. The loop also had 1 tree down in it as well. I rode the loop backwards (CW) for the first time and I think I actually liked it better going in that direction. It had some nice long downhills. I stopped and looked at where the new Walnut connector trail starts and it doesnt look like much as been done other than some markers. I would like to help get started on this trail and now would be the perfect time to do it before the bugs and ticks get too bad. Anyone know if they have any work days planned?

Raining in the park now - too wet to ride the trails. Good news is its a light rain so the trails may dry out by Wednesday or Thursday if the weather forecast holds.
Both the Sycamore Loop and Walnut Connector are in good shape. Trees are still down over the Connector. Watch out for poison ivy around the uprooted tree near the start on the little "bypass". Didn't have my tools with me today to cut it down. Hope to get it done tomorrow. Decided to ride today - forget work!
