Yeah, must have been close. I got there about that time. Well, I rode from the campground about that time. Tim is doing a great job,I wish I lived closer so I could be of more help. I didn't get to see much of the woods since I'm just flying through there but I did notice a few areas where the canopy was so thick it barely let's light through. Trail looked like it took more time to dry in that portion. I also checked out the new parts. That first big drop looks scary between the two big trees. I would be cool if they could run the trail up the hill to continue the momentum. Its a good trail right now but I think in the next few years it will be great.

Still no rain in the park. That may change tomorrow.

Both the Sycamore Loop and Walnut Connector are in great shape. THE TREES HAVE BEEN REMOVED ON THE WALNUT TRAIL!!!!! Thanks Ron Pendley and Paul Arlinghaus.

Harmonie must have missed the storm we had in Evansville on Monday evening because the trails were bone dry this afternoon. Best conditions I have seen them this year. I rode/walked the new flagged section and I can tell this is going to be a fun trail. I cant wait to start working on it.

Trails are still in great shape. Some roots and briars removed from the Sycamore Loop. New mile markers are installed on the Sycamore Loop to approximate position in case of emergency or required maintenance.

You should probably put a marker about 30 feet into the Sycamore loop. It seems to be a popular place to crash. ;D

Trails are good. Some soft spots on both of them from the rain Thursday morning. There are a few sections that need to be pruned, but both are still very rideable.

definitely on my agenda. i got slapped in the face so many times on the walnut trail it was ridiculous. The sight line around one of the corners was rather blocked also.
Just lookin' out for the tall dudes / dudettes ;D

Trails are in excellent condition. Half of the Walnut Connector has been seriously trimmed back w/ the rest pruned. The Sycamore Loop has been trimmed back more. Thanks to everyone who showed up for the trail work day! The Walnut Trail has been extended some more, so feel free to ride it further.

Trails still good. A couple of dusty curves on the Sycamore Loop. Rode the new section for the first time today on the Walnut Trail - very challenging in a couple of turns.

Trails are really dry with dusty areas. The Walnut Trail has been marked similar to the Sycamore Loop with 1/2 mile markers. All of the low hanging branches on the Walnut Trail have been removed and the entire connector section has been trimmed and raked or leaf blown. The trail has been "touched up" with a rhino so it should drain well. The area before the bridge where the bench cut had washed out has been fixed. Some roots removed. This section of the Walnut Trail shouldn't need any routine maintenance for a while. There are some spots on the Sycamore Loop that still need to be trimmed - maybe later this week.... After that's done, Steve and I will start working on the new trail.

No dust now. Thunderstorms came through Posey County leaving the trails wet. Still raining on/off now in the Park. It would be Friday at the earliest if the rain stopped now before the trails would be dry enough to ride.

I stirred up a lot of loose dirt while raking, the rain will probably be beneficial to wash some of it away.
Not to mention getting all the wet leaves raked off and drainage areas cleaned out.

My bad! The Harmonie Trails are rideable now. Some soft spots, but those will probably be dry by now. Had to remove a branch off the Walnut Trail. Both trails are good to go. BTW, congrats again to the newlyweds I met on the trail today.

Anyone been out to Harmonie today? Just wondering how bad they got hit with rain today, I know Evansville got pounded.
