There are a few spots that are still soft from the 3 inches of rain Thursday night but generally okay. Some storm debris still on the trails.

I take it you havent talked to the main gate yet? I just called up there and they said they are still closed. I was looking at getting out there around 10 so just making sure that I dont drive all the way out there and get shut out.

Thunderstorms hit Harmonie with high winds and raining over 2" in a short period of time. Trails are closed Wednesday. Should be back open Thursday if no more rain.

Trails are open but there are some sections that may have to be hiked. Please do not ride if you're leaving deep tread marks or ruts. They should get better through the day. Some trail debris may be down. Please notify the park or report on this forum if anything big needs attention.

I rode Harmonie yesterday evening. Trails were in great shape with only one or two soft spots on the beginners loop. I saw zero trees down as well both on the beginner and intermediate/advanced trail.

Very heavy rain and winds went through the park around 4 pm today. Still raining steady at 6 pm. Changed the status to "red" and will check out the trails tomorrow morning to update the status then.

Still some soft, slick spots on the trails, but they are drying nicely. Didn't cover all of the trails, so there may be some debris down on them. Please report if there is anything big that needs our attention. Chastity said the winds were fierce and they got over 2" of rain. Luckily, most of it ran off and didn't sink in.

Raining in the park with high winds at 9 am Saturday morning. Radar indicates more on the way. The trails were really dry. Hopefully, a lot of this will run off and they can be ridden tomorrow. Will check the status tomorrow morning.

A very serious thunderstorm hit my house last night (about 10 miles from HSP). If it hit the park, the trails will be too wet to ride this morning. The winds were very high, so there might be debris down, too. I'm going to try to get to the park this afternoon to check on it. I'll update the status then.

The trails are dry enough to ride. Walnut is in great shape with a few damp spots. Sycamore had two small sections that probably shouldn't be ridden until they dry out some more, but that was at noon today. Could be good by 5 pm. Just walk these sections if too muddy.

The trails are super-dry and beginning to see some erosion from hard braking in a few places, especially on Walnut. This really doesn't hurt the trail too much, but the loose dirt that is there is really slick. Trying to brake without locking up the wheels would help this, but I know this impacts the fun factor. Just be careful and don't let your front wheel slide out on one of these sections. I know of at least two serious falls this loose dirt has caused.

At approximately 4:30 pm Friday, some server thunderstorms are showing up in the HSP area. Moving fast with some terrific winds. Don't know if the park was hit, but there may be some damage. The trails are so dry, a little rain won't hurt them at all. In fact, it will help settle the dust. Just be aware there may be some trees and debris down on the trails. Ride slowly until you know what's going on. Going to BCSP so won't be able to give an "on the ground" report.

Trails are dry and fast. Chainsawed some stuff on Walnut that was causing me mental problems. Oddly, they were on Zack's hit list, too. See if you can figure out the three locations that are better (safer) now.

Was one of them the big laid-down stump toward the beginning of the trail? I always feel like I'm going to clip it, then run wide and lose momentum.
