I'll be around this weekend but I'm heading down to Lake Barkley next weekend. Let me know if you need a hand though...I have a few tools laying around.

There is a dead tree that fell across the west trail towards the river

in spots, stayed mostly on the levee trails. wood chips are getting a little bit more packed in. Still need to use a bit of caution when flying through there.

Trails are in great shape. They have also recently been maintained. Did a couple loops and sat on the river bank for a while. Thanks to who ever cleared my trail, it's much appriciated.

I went and rode a little at AM after work today. It's mostly dry but the ground is tacky and I wore out quickly.
I befriended a gigantic box turtle today. We hung out for a minute then I moved him off the trail.

That's why i went early. Looking at the radar, it seems to be stalled out in northern Ky.
It may hold off.

hiked the trail with jack the wonder dog today. Much to my surprise the trails are actually not too bad considering the rains over the last week. There really aren't that many muddy spots at all, the trail should dry pretty quick. slough is flooded pretty good.

Just an FYI Angel is starting to become muddy. Many of the low areas are going to hold water on through the spring. Trails are rideable right now but are a bit slimy and slick. Lack of sun and heat are going to keep things pretty saturated after any rains.

Had my first ride of the season at Angel Mounds today. Not much is ridable right now due to flooding. I was able to make a small loop with the levee and the trails just south of the levee. wasn't much but I managed

I'd imagine most of the trail down by the boat ramp is still under water. Good to know at least some of it is rideable. My bike is out at Dan's Comp right now and they're attempting to cure the constant squeak/ping. I replaced the headset and bottom bracket so far. Now we're checking the rear suspension linkage. Might be a bad bushing or something just needing greased.
I hope to make it out there later this week some time.

I didn't even bother going back there, i knew better I tried to ride the trails north by pollack but the water was at least 6" deep as far as I could see. I just turned around. Mother nature has been rather pissed off. At least your mini vacation looks sunny and warmer

Angel Mounds...IS STILL SOGGY. Shocker. I rode 3 laps around the trail just north and south of the levee and it's totally dry. Any further back is still a swamp. Ran into a guy from Utah who was exploring the trails for the first time. I believe he just moved here for work. Meant to tell him about this site but didn't bump into him again. :edit: The thorn bushes are already angry. Got my right arm pretty good.
