Thanks man. I had some time to kill while getting some work done at Dan's. I just rode around USI for a little bit and had a good time. Bombing through campus is pretty fun when nobody's around.

I'm no help, but I think that's a great idea. Please keep us informed on how it goes.

The bike club will be riding in the Boonville Christmas Parade today at 2pm. We will be at the back of the parade, just behind Santa. Come on out and cheer us on. Heck, for that matter anyone is welcome to ride with us. We are meeting at the high school tennis courts at 12:45. This should be a lot of fun, and it's also the longest continuously running parade in Indiana!!

I sent an email to all of the officials yesterday and Candance Brake said "I will certainly support the trails at the park." Good luck guys!

2009 Yeti 303 RDH, size Medium. This bike has seen very little riding and is in excellent condition. It has some minor nicks and scratches and a small dent on the downtube, but overall the bike really looks great. I built it up last year with many new parts and was only able to get to the mountains for 6 days of riding with it. It is dialed in and ready to ride. Weighs about 40 pounds. Comes equipped with a Fox DHX 5.0 rear shock, Rock Shox Totem Coil fork, Avid Code 5 disc brakes, Sunline V1 stem (40mm) and riser bars (3/4" rise, 29" width), Crank Brothers Sage low-stack headset, Race Face Atlas FR cranks and 36t chainring, MRP chainguide, Sram cassette (12-28t), Sram X0 shifter, X9 rear derailler, Stans Flow rims laced to Ringle Abbah hubs, Maxxis Minion 2.5" tires. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks for looking. Attachments:

I'll be night-riding at Scales Lake quite a bit. It's always last minute, so just let me know if you ever plan to and I'll try to make it.

As long as they are the correct diameter, any tire should work. If you are running bmx wheels, then you will need 20" tires. If you are running mtb wheels, then you will need 26" tires. You should probably measure the diameter of your wheels to figure out which size that you need.

The main difference between bmx and mountain bikes is the diameter of the wheels. BMX bikes have a 20" diameter and mountain bikes typically have a 26" diameter. The frame and fork on every bike is designed to use a specific wheel diameter. So if you try to run a different size wheel, you may run into compatibility issues with brakes and other things. I hope that helps.

We had another good turnout this week with 25 riders. We rode the trails at Scales Lake again and it went much smoother than previous weeks. A few riders stuck to the road through the park. We also took a group on some of the more difficult trails. They all did very well and didn't have any accidents. The rest of the riders stayed on the easier trails. We did have a couple of accidents on the way back to school, but the riding level of the club is definitely improving. Sorry, no pics this week as we were a little short-handed.

It's a pretty cool sight to see that many kids on the trail. We had 26 kids show up to ride at Scales Lake yesterday. There were a few spills but overall the riders kept it under control and had a great time. It's quite a push for these kids to ride across town, ride the trails, and then ride back across town. I would say we rode about 7 or 8 miles total!!
A big thanks goes out to Blake's parents for donating 2 bikes to the club! We had 4 ride leaders volunteer their time. We also had 2 parents, Tom and Jerry, riding with the club. Thanks a lot for all the help. See you next week.
