Oh joy, looks like I'll be hanging with my friends (hot and humid) today. I don't mind hot but humid just annoys me.

There are trails back there but they are not really maintained. They have a lot of limbs on them right now.
I think the kids just use them to get some speed up.

What's up with the courier press ? Every time I read the paper online, every story starts like this: "Boy finds meth lab in his toy box while drunk dad sleeps" Geez, I understand the marketing and all that and understand that it is usually those types of stories that draw readers in but when is enough enough ? It's bad enough that I can't stand the town now I'm starting to dislike the people. i swear, according to the newspaper, I'm just about the only one out there who is not drunk behind the wheel. It's funny in a way

My daughter is vegetarian. I know that protein is somewhat over rated . the daily requirement for the average person is way less then what they require.
I thought about the trail mixes that have the dried fruit and nut. Maybe some bagels. I take the bagels backpacking with me, they store well for longer periods of time.
not real fond of energy drinks, not the sugar based ones anyway

Just curios if anyone has a a diet or training ritual they live by.
After my blood sugar dropped at Scales a few weeks ago, I'm looking to discipline myself a little better.
I had 3 PBJ sandwiches at Mammoth cave a few weeks back about an hour before I hit the trail. you would have thought I was super man compared to the scales lake indecent.
It was a drastic difference. Anyway just looking for some input.

I was out and about in the neighborhood tonight and thought I would check out the monster trees that were (disposed of) at lodge school. I use to admire them for the sheer size. They were big massive oak trees. Too bad they just rip 'em out like it's nothing.

That's the reason I used that hand tool cause of those vines. And every now and then a thorn or 12 would get in my shoe for a nice surprise.
Good call on the boat ramp trail. Mike mentioned he never much cared for it connecting to that area.
I blocked off a section of trail Saturday. It's really just a useless path that came out from the west side of the bridge. I suppose it had a use prior to the crossing but it doesn't now.
I just threw some limbs down to block it off.
