Been fixing this one up a bit, thought about putting a suspension fork on the front and a new headset. It's an oldie. i don't ride it much, I cant stand the front end geometry. Not sure if it's the rigid fork or the high rise quill stem. Just doesn't feel good. GT rigid

Gawd, it's been 25 years since I have been there. There used to be some bike trails that ran under the bridge over hwy 41 and pigeon creek. back in the day they ran all the way to Oak Hill rd.
Anyone know if they are still there? Man we had fun back there!!

Maybe, if you fell off your bike ;D It's coming around pretty good, if it would dry out a little more, you could get a full loop in. Well, maybe when we get the slough crossing up and the government guys throw their gravel down this summer. Need to keep it open, it's a great enduro ride. Plus it's about the only place you can take your kids or less experienced riders. What kind of string are you using on your weed eater ? I was thinking about buying a brush blade for mine. I cat the trail yesterday with a hand weed tool, the kind you swing. It's great for cutting through those damn thorn vines that are everywhere. I knew if I took a normal weed eater I would end up being pissed off. Anyway, for clearing trails quickly of just the tall grass and plants, I thought a brush blade would be better than string on my weed eater. Something like this : ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41w%2Bz3F-ZFL._SL500_AA280_.jpgNeed to rake those damn sticks off the trails too.

Trail Conditions are fairly good BTW.
Trails are mostly dry with the exception of a few spots by the bridge and by the maintenance gate.
Atmosphere is: TROPICAL ;D

Here's a GPS overlay of the trail you uncovered Sometime when everything is dry, I'm gonna hike all the trails with my gps and see if I can get a better map layed out. Doing it through Google Earth has made it look a lot better.

Went out today for about 4 hours and opened up a portion of old trail on the west side. it starts where the trail comes out into the corn field and heads south. from there it hooks east and pops out about 75 ft from the bridge. Here's a photo i was going to try and keep heading south but things started getting to cluttered. Too many downed trees. I just blocked that portion off. it's not bad looking, has a few spots that I think will hold water. Won't know till it's wet. When I was done with the trail and headed over to find the trail that nathan uncovered. Here's a photo of that trail Everybody did a great job with the weedeating, it looks great !!

I tried to ride holding my cell phone but it was all jerky. Might try to hook my digital camera to my bike or helmet somehow. Long as I don't smack a tree or something

I'm seriously considering just making this forum grand central and do away with the other. I'll keep it for now.
Geez, I've had you guys move your damn bike pictures all over the place.
I'll prolly keep it and redirect everyone here from there. I think some of the features are nice but some are useless.
I don't have to have videos but it is a nice feature to just upload one. Same with photos.
