Trails are very good with very few soft spots. Last night's rain didn't impact them much at all.

Just so everyone knows those sticks in pic 2 are only temporary. Tim and some helpers from the park are are going to rock armor that crossing.

Cool, I was thinking the 29'r crew was setting traps for us small tire guys. Coming backwards I was about as close as I could come to going OTB, thought about twisting the bars and grabbing the seat and throwing down a old Miami Hopper. But not sure my wheels would like the 230#, did they make Yo's in 26". Lol

Hopefully, the armor will be where the sticks are on the new section by Tuesday afternoon. Depends on access to the park's gator and their work schedule. The park was really crowded today with riders! Trails are still really good.

The sticks have been removed and two layers of stone armor took their place. Covered it all with soft dirt to adhere the stones. The armor is designed to let water pass through it. Also installed a small bridge where the runoff was continual in the ravine. It is anchored pretty good and I put some wet clay around it to solidify. Its not exactly in the middle of the trail but where the berms can be used to make the turn. Here are the pictures: s1091.photobucket.com/albums/i395/timothywbarnes/fixes/

Harmonie trails are still great as of Wednesday afternoon. They are dry enough that a little rain probably won't hurt them. A soaker would, though. Scattered thunderstorms are in the forecast of the Mt. Vernon/New Harmony area.

Had a few minutes to kill so ran up to the park real quick. Only rode Sycamore and it was in very good shape, few small puddles in the normal spots. But other than that was good2go. There was quite few sticks on the trail, one big vine that dropped that you have to duck under. And I think it'll need somebody that is chainsaw certed for a dead tree that fell onto the trail. It's about 1/2 mile in going to normal direction. I'm sure I'll ride again in the morning (going to walk it first and toss sticks unless somebody beats me there) and will get it's gps location. There is enough room to go around it though.

The Sycamore Loop is good with a few muddy spots. The tree and vine that were down over the trail have been removed. The Walnut trail is good. A small tree was reported down near the end of the trail, but it can be ridden over. I'll check it out tomorrow and decide if we can just keep it as a feature (to replace those that have been removed by someone). Worked on the first 1.5 miles of Sycamore clearing drains and removing the fall line ruts formed by the Spring rains. Also added some knicks where the trail was holding water.

Trails are great today, Tims hard work on Sycamore worked wonders...Not a single puddle anywhere.

The trails are in really good shape now. The tree on Walnut had to be removed. Some work has been done on Sycamore removing more roots and fixing some areas that were pooling water. The corridor flagging on the new section has been removed.

Serious thunderstorms packing high winds have hit Harmonie this morning. The trails are closed now. I'll check out the damage tomorrow. It will give me a good chance to check out the "fixes" done on Sycamore to see if the drainage is better. Hopefully, they'll be back to yellow tomorrow afternoon.

Walnut is in good shape and ready to ride. Sycamore is still too soft on the west side. It could be ridden CW to the fire road without any trouble. Sycamore should be okay except for a few soft spots by tomorrow (Wednesday) afternoon. Walked Sycamore and Walnut removing storm debris. Only had to get the saw out three times, so it was a good day.
