slowly coming along. looks like the grounds crew or someone else got a lot more of the trails cleared.
Right now they are pretty rough, lots of sticks, bark, and fallen limbs all over the place.

Me and Nathan spent some time out here today. Cut back a few thorns where they hit me and we cleared some trees and limbs from the storms this week. One near the back by the boat ramp will need a saw, we tried a bit but ended up just hiking over it while riding.
Trail looks great Tim, love that you found the old trail, sections of it were pretty quick even without much use in years.
Heading north from the river to the slough got nasty around the gate and we had to turn around, tried to go in from the front to see how bad it was but it's pretty grown up there. The Wetland loop to the gate is too nasty to go down, but the section from where the wetland meets the boat ramp trail back to the ramp is super fast and very well cleared.

I tried to clear the trail as I went. At least on the old section you speak of. I always called it the "edge" trail. There are spotty sections that could be easily fixed with simple bog bridges. I have stuff at work I can use for that. I asked Mike about meeting and just looking around. I never seem to get very far when I do that, not sure why. Maybe he thinks I'm whining. I'm just trying to help. The gate trail is pretty bad, there are some spots that have started to compact but that spot where it splits of is a mess. there is just no way around it. It's been 5 years and it seems to worsen and widen more each year. I just don't understand why there are 2 giant bridges in the same part of the woods. That same amount of wood could have repaired 100' of trail. now its starting to collapse Anyway, thanks for helping. I saw the tree last night but when I dug out my chainsaw, all the fuel lines were rotted and broken.

Looks like the trees were cleared. I went out with my chainsaw but did not see the tree anymore. If its the one back towards the boat ramp.
Needs a good raking.

You guys did a nice job cleaning the trail up. I took the kids out there around 1830 tonight. We had a good time.
Thanks

It was mostly the grounds crew and their "mystery mowing machine" I think the nex project for me is building some small bog bridges. On a less "hotter than hell fire" day

I hope they use the mystery mowing machine on the rest of the trails.

They can keep using whatever mystery machine they are, because it certainly works.
So almost all parts that are dry enough to ride are cleared, but like Tim said, still needs a good raking, lots of debris on the trail.

Hand raked about 3 miles today. Made a complete loop. You can sail now.
