snap- i'm Kyle. I can now view SINMTB at work and I'm jazzed. I'm 30, from Terre Haute, Indiana. came to the Eville in 97 to USI and never left. Studied Civil Engineering at USI but was too dumb to do calc 3. Graduated with 2 BS's in History and Social Science and did my student teaching at Bosse and Thompkins Middle School. Teaching is only marginally fun so I'm a 911 Dispatcher/ Street EMT-B for American Medical Response and firefighter for Knight... I do other volly work with the Evansville Vanderburgh Emergency Management Agency. My wife kicks ass and her name is Vicki. My mom is Welsh and lives in southern Wales. I have a Welsh pub in my basement and it's called the Pasgedig Mochyn Daear which is Welsh for the Fat Badger... thefatbadger1.googlepages.com In bike related items- I'm the team leader of the Evansville Vanderburgh EMA Bike Team evvemabike.googlepages.com and is open to anyone who rides and is interested in public service. I also was mandated by the HMBA to be the Hoosier Trail Patrol Director, affiliate of the National Mountain Bike Patrol (waiting on NMBP's field director to develop new curriculum so we can get the ball rolling here in Indiana) Hope we can all get together and really make an impact for our region, and have some rockin fun at the same time. whoot- Kyle

Megadeth rocks and that pub is awesome.
I'm Nathan, obviously, and I live in Evansville. I'm 29, originally from Pittsburgh, PA (I love that town). Moved to Santa Claus in 1984 and grew up there. I moved to Evansville in 1999 to go to school.
I work in the Network Support department for the QCOMM Corporation (KDL Inc, Norlight Telecom, Cinergy Metronet and nGenX). We take care of the internal network, computers, printers/scanners/faxes, and pretty much anything electronic that you would find on a desk in an office.
If you drive down Lynch Road it's the building between Green River Rd. and Burkhardt with all the satellite dishes.
I used to ride my bike everywhere as a kid, and myself and a few friends had some nicely maintained bike trails in the woods across from my house. Eventually I got out of biking altogether. I still had a mountain bike and rode down at Angel Mounds in late '99/early '00. After that I didn't really think about it until a friend introduced me to Urban Assault riding.
In 2002 I bought a Trek Bruiser and we started riding downtown almost every night, jumping off anything we could find. I kinda miss getting off work at 11, grabbing a beer then cruising around downtown from midnight till 4AM. The next year I got a new car that my bike wouldn't fit in, I couldn't find a rack that fit properly and I stopped riding again.
Last spring I traded the car in for the Xterra. A large part of my motivation to do that was so I could start riding again. I picked up my Pitch toward the end of May and it's been one of the best purchases I've ever made. About a month later I sold my old Bruiser and picked up an 09 Giant STP to ride downtown. Now I try to hit either the trails or downtown as much as possible.

I'm Daniel, from Evansville. Im 25, originally from newburgh. Lived in this area my whole life. I graduated from USI two years ago with a BS in Industrail Supervision. I am currently an operations supervisor for Con-way Freight on the southside of Vincennes. I drive from the northside of Evansville each day to work which sucks. Ive been mountain biking since I was 10 or 11. I raced motocross in grade school and all through highschool and I rode mountain bikes just for training. When I finally got out of motocross I started spending more time on my mountain bike. Recently I have gotten more serious into it and have started doing some races. I ride mostly at Scales lake and new Harmonie. My favorite trails are Brown County, Canal loop at LBL, and Scales lake. Scales is what got me started riding mountain bikes and I have always loved riding there.

Howdy folks, I'm Kat. I'm 21 and married to Marshall, who's a member on here. I spent most of my childhood on bikes, cruising around and racing my friends around the neighborhood. When my friends moved away and I got my first dog, I started riding with him to keep us both in shape for Agility. Then... I stopped. Not sure why anymore.
Enter Marshall. Bike mechanic and lover of all things two wheeled, he got my old Schwinn back in shape and set up a road bike for me, and we started riding. We've only been mountain biking for about a month now, but I'm totally hooked.
Trivia? I work at the Old National Bank call center downtown. I have five dogs. I train and show them for agility, competitive obedience, and tracking. I ride a motorcycle. I'm from Evansville, and currently live in Chandler.

Bentcrank here.
My name is Eric and I am from Jasper, IN and work at Jasper Desk Co.
I like bikes, bowling, beer and jam bands.
I raced motocross in high school and did a lot of flatland and some ramp riding. Sold my mx and bought a mtb before I got home.
I did a lot of xc racing through the 90's with my wife and we got burnt out on all the training and traveling and started to just ride for fun. Replaced short races with 4-8 hour rides in the woods.
When my first son came a long it was harder to travel all weekend for riding and for some reason stopped riding except for just a few rides over several years.
An old fried perked my interest in BMX. I picked up a bike and started racing right away. Ended up doing a lot of traveling racing Nationals and Regionals. I ran a team called bentcrank and web site. Finally got too tired of spending a ton of money for very little return and started riding mtb's again. Picked up my first road bike and put in lots of miles.
Now I have turned in to some what of a retro grouch and try to fight the world of new technology as much as I can. I prefer to ride my singlespeed bike over any other bike I have. I just am not in good enough shape to ride it everywhere.
Future goal is to try some 100 mile races with the hope of doing them on the 1x1. Plan on racing PMBAR more since it is so fun.

Josh from Ferdiand Born and raised in Dubois County. Attended USI and Ivy Tech in e'ville after high school. I've held many hats employed at Thermwood Corp. the last 10 years. I currently conduct CNC machine training courses as well as a course on the Masteram CAD/CAM software for our customers.
I am married for nearly 3 years and have a wonderful 5 month old baby boy. I spent a lot of time on a bike as a young kid but as soon as I convinced my parents to get me something that used fuel, I never looked back. Raced motocross through high school and college. Gave that up for a harley. I got hurt several times doing all of the above so moved to a mountain bike primarily for the exercise and now I am hooked. I have been riding consistantly for 3 years now. Almost exclusively at the Ferdinand state forest until this year. I guess it is my "home course" since it is less than 10 minutes from my doorstep. Proved this memorial day I can get hurt on a bicycle too. A titanium plate and several screws later, I am back in the saddle.
I enjoy anything with two wheels and all the outdoorsy stuff too.

First off, I am glad to see that their is a web site dedicated to southern Indiana MTB riding.
Let me start off by saying that this feels like an AA meeting but I am Andrew from Jonesville, Indiana. I grew up in northern Indiana and migrated south in 1995 for college. I bought my first mtb in 1995 had it stolen and gave it up until some friends from work introduced me to what real mtb was all about in 2007. I am very thankful for that. I still haven't got to the level that I want to but I really look forward to getting on the bike any time I have the chance.

I am the same DORK that put in granny gear for his member name, I didn't like that member name so I went with my HMBA member name. Sorry for the confusion.

Hi, I'm Ben. I'm addicted to biking. I haven't had a ride now in 5 days. I feel confused, disoriented, and a general uneasy feeling. Seriously, I'm 31, live in Mt. Vernon, I'm nearly married, and I've only been biking for about a year. I got into it to lose weight, but stayed in it because it's awesome. I haven't ridden very many trails, just New Harmony. I feel too out of shape to really go at it, and I'm WAY too out of shape to compete. I still feel very new to the sport, but it's fun.
I've lived in MV for most of my life, but I lived in Santa Claus (area) for several years.
I like classic rock, blues, metal, classics, pretty much anything but Hollywood country. I like horror movies, stupid comedies, etc. I work at QualEx Engineering in MV. I pretty much hate TV except a few shows. I think TV ruined good music, and I am so done with VDTV.

Hi,
51 year old poser/wannabe here. I live in Anna, IL and I make my living from a website, and recently I took over So. IL ops for a Wholesale HVAC distribution. But that is all work crap....let get on to the good stuff.
Divorced in 99, Single till 08. Spent that past decade chasing whitewater in ARK, TENN, NC, WV and so on. In 07, I bought a Giant Rainier and fell in love with single track. In January of 09, I changed bikes and now sport a GT Peace 9r Multi all rigid. I roll Schwalbe Big Apple 2.35's for summer gravel and roads, and Kenda Karma's when the poison Ivy goes away and I can ride around in the woods again.
I am old, fat and not really built for the steeps, but I do get down to TSALI a couple times a year, love good beer (or free beer) and look forward to meeting you all someday.
Jay
